From its humble beginnings as the first birth control clinic in the US, Planned Parenthood has grown to a size unimaginable by its early pioneers. Believing that there is a fundamental right of each individual to manage his or her body and reproductive processes, Planned Parenthood has organized to defend the rights of persons over their own fertility. In addition, Planned Parenthood advocates for access to information and services related to sexuality, reproduction, methods of contraception, fertility control, and parenthood.
